Thinking about renting a boat in Miami? Here's what it really costs

If you’re wondering how much does it cost to rent a boat in Miami?, you’re not alone. With the rising popularity of boat days in the Magic City. Whether it’s for birthdays, family outings, corporate events, or just a good time with friends, more and more people are asking the same question.

At Vice Boat Club, our pricing is transparent and all-inclusive, and we offer boats that fit a wide range of budgets.

Boat rental prices in Miami: From $800 to $5,000+

At Vice Boat Club, our boats start at $800 for 4 hours and go up to $5,000+, depending on the size, style, and luxury of the vessel. Here's a general breakdown:

  • 💎 Smaller boats (28–35 ft): $800–$1,200

  • 🛥️ Medium-sized yachts (40–50 ft): $1,500–$3,000

  • 🛳️ Luxury yachts (50+ ft): $3,500–$5,000+

This pricing includes fuel, captain, marina fees, and cleaning, no hidden fees. What you see is what you get.

Is renting a boat expensive? Not really, if you split the cost

People often assume renting a boat is a luxury they can’t afford. But let’s break it down.

Most of our boats allow up to 13 passengers, which is the legal limit for most private charters in Miami. If you book a yacht for $1,200 and you’re a group of 13, that’s less than $95 per person for 4 hours of cruising, music, drinks, and ocean vibes.

That’s often cheaper than brunch and mimosas in Brickell, but way more memorable.

So don’t hesitate to grab your group and split the cost. You’ll get a premium experience without the premium price tag (when shared!).

Why the minimum rental time is 4 hours

All our boats have a 4-hour minimum, and there’s a good reason for that.

Renting a boat for less than 4 hours is like:

  • 🛳️ Booking a cruise but only staying for one night, you miss the experience.

  • 🎢 Going to Disney just to ride one rollercoaster, it’s fun, but you’ll regret leaving early.

Four hours is the sweet spot. It gives you enough time to enjoy the ride, stop at a sandbar or island, swim, play music, and make the most of your time on the water without feeling rushed.

The only extra: Crew gratuity

The only thing not included in our pricing is the tip for your crew. This gratuity is not mandatory but is greatly appreciated, as it goes directly to the captain (and stewardess, if applicable), not to the company.

In the boating world, the crew is the heart of your experience; they keep you safe, set the vibe, and ensure everything runs smoothly. A common tip ranges from 10–20%, depending on your experience, and is given directly to them at the end of the trip.
